ZIM signs distribution agreement with Cinerio to deliver Children's Animations on Internet TV
16 September 2006 ZIM Corporation (OTCBB: ZIMCF), a global mobile content and application developer, today announced a content distribution agreement with Cinerio Entertainment Inc, a developer of traditional 2-D animation, computer generated 3-D animation and interactive content for international markets. Through this agreement, ZIM will distribute Cinerio's Children Animation and Children's Learning products on the P2P (peer to peer) Internet TV platform, PPLive.com. The addition of Cinerio's content will expand ZIM's overall offering on PPLive which already includes an American Pop Channel (Hollywood Classics) and Travel/Tourism Channels.
"Cinerio's English language content is a great addition to ZIM-PPLive. Children's Animations and English Learning programs are in high demand in the Chinese market, and they can now be viewed by PPLive's large user base and by anyone with Internet access worldwide," said Dr. Michael Cowpland, President and CEO of ZIM. PPLive provides free online streaming TV programs. Unlike other streaming Internet TV platforms which charge large set up fees, monthly hosting fees and additional fees per gigabyte of bandwidth, ZIM-PPLive offers unlimited bandwidth for a flat rate. It is based on integrated peer-to-peer technology which provides users with a smooth TV viewing experience with no interruptions. In P2P technology, everyone can become a broadcaster without the cost of traditional streaming. The more users that are on-line, the faster the programs can be loaded.
