Voipfone Launches the UK's first VoIP based, DIY, 0800 Service

The London based Internet Telephone provider, Voipfone, (http://www.voipfone.co.uk) today added 0800 number services to its widening range of telecommunication products.

Colin Duffy, Voipfone's CEO, said «like all our product developments, this is a massive step away from traditional telephony -- there is no connection charge, no deposit, no set-up cost and no contract. It's instant, automatic and self-service and also the lowest cost service in the market.»

What are 0800 Numbers?

0800 numbers are powerful marketing tools as over 90% of consumers know that they can call them for free. (Source: Henley Centre).

The numbers have all the same features as Voipfone's other numbers so they can be diverted to Voicemail, put on hold with music, transferred to any number, used with the Virtual PBX and Call queuing services etc.

They can even be diverted to any other number. This means that you can use you normal telephone service if you prefer – you can simply divert the incoming calls to your existing telephone number. Typically this will be about 1p per minute to landlines in most of the Western World.
