United Online Adds Norton AntiVirus Protection to NetZero and Juno Accelerated Access Services
16 February 2006 NetZero HiSpeed 3G, Juno Turbo and Juno Speedband members are now eligible to receive complimentary Norton AntiVirus Online software to help protect them against Internet-transmitted threats including viruses, Trojan horses, and spyware.

Norton AntiVirus Online provides continuous protection from Internet threats. It locates and removes viruses, worms and Trojan horses from email messages, instant message attachments and other sources automatically, without interrupting the user's Internet experience. It also protects against important non-virus threats including spyware and keystroke loggers that can steal personal information from a user's computer without their knowledge.
NetZero HiSpeed 3G, Juno Turbo and Juno Speedband members can also take advantage of special reduced pricing to upgrade to Norton Internet Security Online, which offers the same protections provided by Norton AntiVirus Online, plus additional Internet security features including:
-- Norton Personal Firewall - hides a customer's computer on the
Internet and automatically blocks attempted intrusions
-- Norton Privacy Control - prevents confidential information from
being sent over the Internet without a user's knowledge
-- Norton AntiSpam - filters junk mail, including phishing messages,
out of a user's inbox
-- Norton Parental Control - blocks inappropriate Web sites as
identified by the user

United Online offers three types of accelerated Internet access, NetZero HiSpeed 3G, Juno Turbo and Juno Speedband, all of which offer increased surfing speeds over dial-up for under $15 per month. All existing users will be notified of the new services' availability by email, and by messaging on their Start Page. Those who sign up for accelerated Internet access have the choice of selecting the free antivirus coverage or signing up for Norton Internet Security Online for an additional $1.95 per month with a NetZero or Juno accelerator account.
