Santa Claus to Protect Childrens Internet Usage
5 December 2004It was reported from Santa's Workshop at the North Pole today that Santa has assigned his top Technology Elves to work double-time to create “Santa Surfer”, the worlds first Internet Santa Safety Browser for kids. In an effort to meet the Christmas 2004 deadline the North Pole contracted with Children’s Educational Network to create the safest, most educational kids’ browser ever created! This new browser will bear the name of Santa himself and will prevent children from accidentally coming across potentially dangerous sites while surfing the Internet.
"Since the government did not pass the Child Online Protection Act this year, I knew we had to do something about this" said Santa from his offices at the North Pole. "It's just too important of an issue and I knew that with some teamwork and some vision we could provide free Internet safety to children all over the world. Children should be able to experience the wonders of the web without compromising their safety."
“The “Santa Surfer” browser has incredible technology that allows children to surf only safe, parent approved, child-appropriate web sites. Unlike a typical filter, this browser works on an "include list" that is considered by industry experts to be the safest and most reliable methodology available today,” said Greg Writer, San Diego’s foremost authority on the topic of online safety for children. "We are thrilled to partner with Santa and his team to have created the only kids browser that was designed to protect children from pornography, hate, drugs, violence and online predators and is branded and endorsed by Santa himself.”
