Oogle Eyes for Internet Shoppers and Classified Ads

Ooglebay, Inc. announced today that it has launched its new shoppers search website, http://www.ooglebay.com. Ooglebay.com is an ecommerce aggregator for retail items and classified ads. According to Don Morgan, Ooglebay's Director of Marketing, "We offer a new experience for internet shoppers. We index items for sale originating from a wide variety of ecommerce sites, primarily geared for the consumer. At Ooglebay, shoppers can select an item with a price range they're willing to pay for that given item or service. Items from major retailers can also be found on Ooglebay, and we search and index items listed for sale in local newspapers and shopper publications, as well as other classified ad web sites."

Jim Porter, IT Director for Ooglebay states, "Not only do we use our own spyders to crawl the internet, we have developed our own Cross Server application that allows providers to feed items listed in their newspaper and/or on their website, without having to use cumbersome CSV files. Our application keeps shoppers updated with the most current information on products for sale across the internet, as well as local markets in printed formats. There is no charge for internet sellers or newspapers to utilize Ooglebay's Cross Server application, and it has the ability to place items in the search index as they're added to the providers website, all simultaneously."

Search engines and aggregators are hot spots for on-line shopping and the Ooglebay website is very consumer friendly and free. Shoppers can use regular search, as well as local search for items they're interested in purchasing. Advertisers will find a captive audience as Ooglebay offers Featured Ads for sellers with special products and promotions, complete with images. Both internet based and brick and mortar businesses are also able to advertise their businesses utilizing featured ads and banner ads in relevant search.
