On-Demand Service Replaces Hardwired Networks: NetOffice Makes Business Information Available Through Any Internet-Connected Computer

17 January 2006

Nothing succeeds like access. That's why corporations install phone and data networks that can be accessed online. That's also why - without the need for hard-wired networks - NetOffice makes all of a business's essential information available through any Internet-connected computer. And Internet-connected machines are getting easier and easier to find.

The reason is that wireless providers are catching up with the mobile workforce. WiFi hotspots continue to multiply, WiMax is available from cell phone firms like Cingular and Verizon, Boeing's Connexion provides Web connections in the air, and major hotel chains consider broadband so essential to attract business travelers that Sheraton is rolling out free Internet-access through public computer terminals in its hotels' lobbies.

THE LIMITS OF PUBLIC ACCESS

Public terminals are convenient for professionals who want to check their webmail account, brokerage data, and other online services. Those users aren't likely, though, to be able to log on to their corporate intranets to access their calendar, task list, contacts, and files. And, if they're expecting a fax, they'll have to wait to return to the office to read it. And voicemail's going to take a phone call in order to hear it.

KEY DATA THAT'S ALWAYS AVAILABLE

NetOffice overcomes those drawbacks, without the need for networking hardware and software. It forwards voicemail audio files and fax graphic files to email, making them accessible online. Each user of the subscription-based software-as-a-service package can use a Windows or Macintosh computer and an ordinary browser to log in, access contacts, set up meetings and project assignments, access uploaded files, and even create marketing campaigns that can be delivered by email, phone, or fax. Subscribers can call their NetOffice toll-free number, record new phone messages and, through the browser's single point of contact, assign that message to a telephone Touch-tone key for playback when callers request it from the main menu. All from outside the office.

For small businesses that need mobility but don't need the network infrastructure to make data available from remote locations -- home, job site, hotel, hotspot, airport, or anywhere else there's an Internet signal -- NetOffice is the virtual network that lets the business go wherever its people go. So they can focus on running their business, instead of their business systems.

ABOUT NETOFFICE

NetOffice lets small businesses simplify and lower the cost of their communications and information management by replacing hardwired systems with on-demand Internet services. From any Internet-connected PC or Mac, people can control their phones, faxes, and messaging traffic; track and share calendar, task, and contact data; store and share files; keep histories of all customer interactions; and create marketing campaigns that reply to responses automatically. For small businesses that don't want or can't afford the investment in physical phone and data networks, NetOffice provides all the same advantages, month-by-month, through a Single Point of Contact(TM) online.
