Leading Seattle's Internet Community: Adhost and Seattle24x7.com
5 August 2006 Seattle, WA (PRWEB) August 3, 2006 -- Two of the names that have become synonymous with the Seattle Internet experience are joining efforts. Adhost Internet, a leading provider of colocation and shared server hosting in downtown Seattle, and Seattle24x7.com, Seattle's business and technology online community and news site, have formed a unique alliance. Adhost will be the official host of seattle24x7.com while Seattle24x7 will provide Adhost clients a venue for keeping up-to-date on local technology news, an online directory of Seattle-area Internet companies and a place to post job notices.
Both companies have a long history in Seattle, at least in Internet years. Celebrating its 11th anniversary this fall, Adhost was founded in Bellevue in 1995 to provide businesses with a better way to host and maintain their Web sites. That remains the primary goal, although various services have been added over the years to facilitate this goal: server colocation, managed servers, Web development, e-commerce solutions, content management system, and e-mail marketing tools. In 2003 Adhost moved its business offices and data center to the Fisher Plaza in downtown Seattle.
Looking back, Seattle24x7.com was founded as Seattle's first Internet business community, and today stands alone in that unique capacity. Co-founders Soula Jones, a former editor at Wall Street Week, and Larry Sivitz, the former Link columnist for Seattle Magazine and current editor of the monthly HomePage section in Puget Sound MARKETING, brought together a combination of interviews, commentary, site reviews, humor, tutorials and business advice. Seattle24x7.com also features the definitive directory of Puget Sound Internet companies, a calendar of Internet and e-commerce community events and a local Internet-related jobs board.
