LandVoyage.com Doubles Web Server Capacity and Available Bandwidth

LandVoyage.com, an online mapping services company, has recently doubled both web server capacity and available bandwidth. This new increase will improve speed and performance as well as reliability

LandVoyage.com increased web server capacity by doubling the number of dual-processor Dell PowerEdge servers which handle current website requests. This hardware is currently housed at the SunGard Availability Services (formerly Inflow) colocation facility in Denver, Colorado, which provides redundant power and Internet connectivity as well as 24x7 monitoring. LandVoyage.com worked with SunGard Availability Services in order to increase the amount of bandwidth available to LandVoyage.com servers.

"Our customers will really benefit from this boost in capacity," said Brian Randy Funk, Project Director at LandVoyage.com. "We plan to leverage our new capabilities to serve our customers even better."

By increasing both the server capacity (which processes Internet traffic) and the available bandwidth (which transmits Internet traffic), LandVoyage.com can now effectively handle double the Internet traffic. This performance increase will result in fewer delays and even faster performance. Additionally, the increased hardware will make the LandVoyage.com system more reliable and redundant than ever.

LandVoyage.com hosts over 10 terabytes (10,000 gigabytes) of compressed mapping data stored on state of the art hardware in order to achieve and maintain 99.9% uptime. Both enterprise customers and individual members rely on LandVoyage.com to deliver instant maps and imagery at all times.
