Jordanian Technology Company Launches New Multilingual Search Engine

Where-Where intends to fill a void in the marketplace for buyers to be able to find sellers and not only be able to know what they offer, but to have the exact location of where to find them.

Where-Where was created as a result of a vacuum discovered in the information available to individuals, businesses and shoppers in Jordan. There were no online directories available in the country with the necessary information to allow potential shoppers and customers to find stores and businesses in any particular geographic area with ease.

The idea came to one of the company founders when he returned from a trip last year, after losing his charger for his Macintosh laptop. He came into the office the next day and asked the members of the I.T. department, at the company where he was consulting, where he could find a store that sold Apple computers. Nobody in the company knew where to find such a store, and they were unable to find friends who knew this information. At the end of the day he left the office in frustration and said, "What Jordan needs is a decent on-line directory."

A few months later they created Where-Where, an on-line international search engine and business directory operating in the classified advertising market in Jordan.
