IMS Wins Chicago Web Application Development Project

IMS and Chicago partner Shortwave announce they have been selected by Advance Transformer Co. as their Web application development partners to redesign and update the functionality of their corporate website. IMS will develop a custom content management system as well as integrate a number of unique data application modules, while Shortwave will be responsible for branding, marketing strategy and redesign.

"With a complicated web application integration project like this it makes great sense to partner with a marketing firm like Shortwave to tackle the creative elements," said Mark Clear, CEO of IMS. "Together with our web application experience our goal is to specify and implement an ambitious update of Advance Transformer's corporate website, applying technology and creativity to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and promote communication with their customers."

The new web application will include a custom CMS with web tools that allow multiple authorization levels for content administration. The publicly visible component of the application will incorporate site personalization for customers and improve on usability and information design. IMS will also merge Advance Transformer data from multiple internal sources, integrating it with the functionality of their Web application, keeping the site content current and reducing tedious and costly content editing.
