Impsat Significantly Increases Its Access to Internet in the United States of America
26 April 2006 NYIIX, the New York metro area's largest publicand private peering exchange, and Latin America's leading carrier andprovider of IP-based connectivity and services, Impsat Fiber Networks,signed an agreement to increase bandwidth access between the Americas. TheNYIIX member's move to 1GigE was in response to growing traffic volume anddemand for faster connectivity.
TELEHOUSE America, which operates NYIIX, also joined forces with Impsat. Acooperative partnership now makes each company's products and servicesavailable to the other's respective clients.
Impsat provides private telecommunications network, telephony, data centerand Internet services in Latin America.
