Host Gator Web Host Expands and Opens Canadian Office
29 June 2006 Boca Raton, FL (PRWEB) June 29, 2006 -- Host Gator, a leading provider of shared, dedicated and reseller web hosting, announced today it will open a new subsidiary in Toronto, Canada. The Canadian operations will be the company's first subsidiary supporting the company's headquarters in Boca Raton, Florida. Host Gator Canada will handle both general administrative tasks in addition to support tickets originating out of the US offices in Boca Raton. Approximately a dozen technical system administrations will be working out of the Toronto office by the end of the year. All staff will become direct employees of the company and no sub-contracted workers will be hired. "Host Gator's expansion to Canada is a major milestone in our company's history," said Brent Oxley, President of Host Gator. "The company has grown rapidly and we felt it was necessary to expand our administrative and technical support infrastructure in order to maintain the level of service our customers are accustomed to." A new office was required because of the difficulty in finding technically skilled employees in the Boca Raton area. Host Gator posted an ad for the system administrator position on Craigslist for the Toronto area that quickly attracted more than 60 applications. "We have had many qualified admins apply from Canada as well as other countries, but because of US laws it's not easy to get them working here in the United States," said Oxley. "With our Canadian offices, it will be easier for us to hire from this abundant talent pool and have them work directly out of our office, avoiding the complicated process of securing work visas for international talent."
