Generic Local Search Domains Names Listed For Sale
23 February 2006 The internet domain names LocalSearch.co.uk and Local-Search.co.uk have been listed for sale at the generic domain name web site http://www.MyDomainName.co.uk .
Local search is set to grow dramatically in the next few years as more and more search engines and companies refine and extend their local search offerings.
A recent report by the Kelsey Group predicted that local search (including Internet Yellow Pages and wireless) would grow globally from $3.4 billion in 2005 to nearly $13 billion by 2010. That represents a 30.5 percent growth rate over the next four years.
The interest in local search is growing and at the upcoming Search Engine Strategies conference in New York next week (28th Feb to 3rd March) there are some key sessions dedicated to local search.
In addition to the New York conference there is a further conference being hosted by the Kelsey Group (26th March to 28th March) in San Jose, California, which will look at the future of interactive local media.
The Future of Local Search:
The predictions for future revenue growth of local search, together with the increasing number of search engines and companies providing local search services, clearly shows just how fast the local search industry is developing.
