Five Sparrows Announces Launch of Updated Web Site for Orion Township Library
28 June 2006 HARTLAND, MICHIGAN, June 26, 2006a Five Sparrows, LLC is pleased to announce the launch of a completely re-designed and improved web site it created for Orion Township Public Library, located in Lake Orion, Michigan. The new site includes a new navigation system, an updated and streamlined look, better organization, and even provides separate sections for Children and Teens with custom pages designed specifically for these age groups.
A custom calendar feature dynamically displays current events for the Adults, Children, Teens, and Seniors pages, making it fast and easy for users to find activities and events that are of interest to them. "The integrated calendar feature is a real time-saver," said Judi Rudisill, LAN/Web Coordinator for Orion Township Public Library. The new web site is also fully integrated with The Library Network, a public library cooperative serving 65 libraries in southeast Michigan. The web site also provides access to LOCIN (Lake Orion Community Information Network) and iDigOrion, a research tool for exploring Orion Township history.
"The Orion Township Public Library web site is an amazing resource for the community," said Lauren Hobson, president of Five Sparrows. "Users can do research, get homework help, find recipes, look up travel information, submit their own book reviews (or read the reviews of others), find song lyrics, see online legal resources, or discover just about anything else you can think of -- it s really a great site."
The new web site is well organized, easy to use, and offers a custom three-option search feature that lets users search the Orion Township Library web site, the library s online catalog, or the entire web, right from the top of each web page. The home page also includes a Flash animation featuring photos from Orion Township past and present.
