Atlanta Search Marketing Expert Tapped for National Conference

Prominent Placement, Inc., a leading Atlanta search engine optimization company, today announced that its managing partner, Stacy Williams, will lead a search engine marketing session during the upcoming Search Engine Strategies Conference - Summer 2005. The national search engine marketing conference, which is sponsored by Jupitermedia Corporation and SearchEngineWatch.com, will be held August 8 - 11 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California.

SEO expert Stacy Williams will present ways marketing strategists are tapping into an audience by using local search engines, online yellow pages and other local search engine marketing methods. “Local Search Marketing Tactics” will be held Wednesday, August 10 beginning at 11 a.m.

“Incorporating local search strategies into an online marketing program is more critical than ever before,” said Stacy Williams. “Consumers are increasingly localizing their searches by adding city and zip code descriptors. Studies have shown that in a single month, Internet users conduct more than 200 million searches that include local modifiers. Stacy will also speak on a panel entitled "Ad Reps: Friend or Foe?" This new session will explore a controversy growing in the search marketing industry, where search engine ad reps often try to work directly with clients, bypassing search marketing agencies. This session will be held Tuesday, August 9 beginning at 2:00 pm.

"This issue is a growing concern among search marketing agencies of all sizes. We've experienced it ourselves, but have found that if agencies can find a way to work with the search engines, the situation can be turned into a win-win," said Williams.
