Arshnet Technologies has Signed an Agreement with MaxMD, the Official Provider of .md Domain Names in the United States and Over 90 Countries Worldwid
25 October 2006 Arshnet announced that Arshnet Technologies has signed a agreement with MaxMD, the official provider of .md domain names in the United States and over 90 countries worldwide. Arshnet will be providing MaxMD's personalized, permanent and portable .md domain names to independent physicians and group medical practices, medical associations, patient groups, healthcare corporations and medical institutions in the only Internet domain dedicated to the medical community.
Abbas Mirza, CEO of Arshnet Technologies, commented: "MaxMD' products are a tremendous complement to domain solutions. This agreement presents a unique opportunity for our customers to expand a typical registrar offering with a proven, top-performing domain."
In a recent third-party sponsored study, 86% of physicians surveyed indicate a high-level of interest in .md as the Internet domain dedicated to the medical community.(1) Responses to an opinion survey fielded at the 2005 Medical Group Managers Association Annual Meeting offer supporting evidence with 80% indicating that a .md Web address for their medical practice is either important or very important.(2)
