Enter 30DayTags.com, a "fresh" approach to not only finding what you need on the web but also for website owners, bloggers, eBay'ers, etc. to list their sites, tags, and links as well. Every tag has a 30-day expiration date. So if a tag and a link are placed on the site, it's good for only 30 days. Tags can, however, be refreshed for free. Additionally, users can sign up for RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds and get updates for any particular tag.

According to a 2005 report from the Pew Internet & American Life Project, "Only 17% of Internet users say they always find what they are looking for when they use a search engine. With over 85% of American Internet users claiming to have used an online search engine to find information on the Web and 29% of Internet users rely on a search engine on a typical day that's a substantial gap and a desire for a new way to find information."

"We believe that user behavior can be one of the best indicators of the value or relevancy of a particular website," said Myers. "Our aim is to provide a means to capture that relevancy and keep it fresh."

According to a recent Wall Street Journal article, "demand for the new sites reflects many Web surfer's frustration with current search technology. The major search engines are all built around different algorithms that attempt to determine the most relevant sites for a particular search."

Additionally, Forrester Research analyst Hellen Omwando stated, "In addition to better technology, Google should add some human editors to help prevent manipulation," she said based on a recent incident involving Google and automaker BMW.

"We felt that human-editors were better at determining relevancy than machine algorithms. With 30DayTags we created a totally open experience that would empowers human-editors to deliver better results," said Myers.
